This bead (and the green one below) is multiple layers and uses a technique I learned from Judy Conway. The bead is strung on a sterling silver neckwire.

Pink opalescent glass under clear with dichroic chips, confetti (glass "flakes") and stringers (glass strings).
Another multi-layer dichroic bead, this time strung with 6mm black glass beads.

Light blue opalescent glass under clear with dichroic and opalescent chips. 1 large bead and 2 little ones. "Strung" on eyepins, wirewrapped. Accompanied with rocaille and satin glass beads.
Medium amber glass over clear with confetti, stringers, and dichroic chips. "Strung" on gold-filled eyepins with gold filled wirewraps. Rocaille, green glass beads and citrine quartz.
Tack fused beads -- black on the bottom and dichroic on top. Gold pen dots. Waxed linen cord in macrame square knots.
Large layered dichroic bead, strung on rattail. The upper layer of clear glass has black stringers imbedded in it.

White under black with geometrically shaped dichroic pieces.
